Kenchic profile
Kenchic Limited is the leading producer of poultry in East and Central Africa. At its inception, the company’s main activity was the production of broiler and layer day old chicks. Over the years the company has expanded operations to include processed chicken and further processed products. The company started its operations in 1984. The company’s Head Office is in Exsan House along Enterprise road. Kenchic is proud to be the largest integrated poultry operation in East and Central Africa and deals in day-old chicks, processed chicken meat and further processed products such as smoked sausages, choma sausages & sausages.
At Kenchic we place the highest priority of the birds we farm. Our farming practices conform not only to Kenyan standards but also to the European Union and World Health Organization requirements. Every aspect of our business is aligned to a programme we call Farm to Fork. Three areas of strength set Kenchic apart from other poultry businesses: Three (3) important aspects that distinguish Kenchic from the rest of the meat processing companies are:-
- We breed and supply high-quality chicks to thousands of poultry farmers in the region.
- We breed and process the highest quality chicken meat for retail, fast foods, catering and economy segments of the market. Our customers include all the leading supermarket, hotels, institutions, in-flight catering and quick service restaurant businesses in the region. Our new chicken processing plant is Halal certified and is the most modern in the region. Our cold chain extends through our refrigerated delivery fleet to the customer’s premises, ensuring that processed chicken is delivered in perfect condition.
