Early Days
We started in 2015, scouting for a site location in Lake Victoria. We met countless stakeholders – many of whom would become our greatest advocates.
Finding the perfect site meant a lot of time on the roads mapping local infrastructure…
…as well as a lot of time in a boat, taking water quality measurements…
We visited local communities to gauge their interest in hosting a fish farming operation…
…And of course managed to squeeze in some fun along the way!
We eventually found an ideal spot, located between the fishing villages of Roo and Ukula
Rapid Expansion
We quickly grew our team, and hired over 100 full-time employees (most from local communities).
After two years of hard work on the water…
As well as two years of hard work on the land…
Today
We are proud to have become the largest fish farm in East Africa.
But mostly, we are proud to produce a fresh, delicious and healthy protein for tens of thousands of households across Kenya.
